Andy Thomas Genius Painter

Few painters have caught my interest over the years. Andy Thomas captures real life, history, and stories in his paintings. I feel like a true patriot when i look at these paintings because in all of them have America a part of it.  You could stare at them for an hour and keep finding new details through them. I own one of them a copy not authentic) and i would love to get more. Here are some of my favorites.

American Storytellers

Oh, to be there and hear the stories. Imagine hearing Mark Twain and Will Rogers trade witticisms, or Ronald Reagan tell a good story. Charles Russell, Frederick Remington and Norman Rockwell told incredible stories in their paintings and writings. Ben Franklin was once called the First American and somehow that seems right. Ernest Hemingway took the American character and planted him around the world. Buffalo Bill, a real man of the West, created a mythical man of the West through his Wild West show. Teddy Roosevelt, a true blue blood from the east, went west to test his mettle. Oh, the stories that would be told.

Gathering Around old Glory

This great image was taken from the scene of memorial items that were hanging on the fence at a church just outside of Ground Zero in New York.

The Band Played On..

The greats included in this image are:  Hank Williams, Louis Armstrong, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Roy Orbison, Jim Croce, Frank Sinatra, John Lennon, John Denver, Bessie Smith, Bill Haley, Jim Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Cass Elliott, Sam Cook, Jerry Garcia, Elvis, Scott Joplin, Selena, Kurt Cobaine, Billie Holliday, Jimmie Rodgers, Patsy cline, Aaliyah, Buddy Holly, and a "mystery man."  Who's the pirate, why, Andy, of course!

The Death of John Dillinger
The warm evening of July 22, 1934 was to be the last time that John Dillinger was seen alive.

A Grand Ol' Gang
Who do former presidents hang out with? Wouldn’t it be just a great time if they could "let their hair down" together and just have a time to laugh and remember? Can you imagine that? Republican party presidents  George HW Bush, Abraham Lincoln, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, George W Bush, Ronald Reagan.
